Salvation
When I woke up a few hours later, it was night. The shadows had come while I slept. It was very dark. I barely saw the stars through the other trees branches. I have a lot of potential. I’ll be a big tree in just a few years. I looked up at these great trees all night, often dozing off to sleep. Just as dawn broke, I heard a deep, guttural snort. It startled me. Then I felt pressure. I couldn’t see anything. I felt myself being pushed forward, but then the pressure left. I was stuck, my roots pulled up just a little. The snorting turned to loud screams! I was terrified but unable to do anything. Then, all at once, it was silent. I tried to look around, but my roots kept me where I was. Soon, I felt the Farmer’s fingers straighten me. That’s when I saw what had happened. It was a pig, a wild pig, laying dead on the ground. I looked at the Farmer. He had a large gash in his side and pierces on his wrists and feet. His blood poured on me. It was strange. All I could see was Him. All I could feel was His hands propping me up. He bent His head and told me I was almost destroyed, but He had saved me from the beast’s wild rooting. I knew He had. I saw the evidence. The evidence poured over me. Then I realized I was still covered in dirt. Had I always been this way? Have I never reached the surface? Have my leaves never felt the Sun?
John 5:24~ “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment,
but has passed from death to life.”
